It's probably not going to surprise anyone, but there's reportedly a brand new LEGO Star Wars game in development.

That's according to a brief comment by Matt Wood, who for the uninitiated, is part of Skywalker Sound, the company that is responsible for many of the recent Star Wars video games. Wood's casual comment was backed up by sources at Eurogamer, who have confirmed that a new entry in the LEGO Star Wars franchise is indeed in the pipeline.

According to the sources, the game won't simply adapt Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, but rather, is supposedly going to offer the ultimate LEGO Star Wars experience. What this means is unclear, but it sounds like it's going to present more than just a few films in the mix.

It's a pretty big time for Star Wars fans right now. Aside from the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in cinemas later this year, we've also got Respawn's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order out in November.
