Activision has confirmed that a “new 007 game” will be revealed at Comic-Con in San Diego, which takes place July 21-24.

There’s a strong possibility that this could turn out to be GoldenEye Reloaded, which was outed by Activision domain listings the other week.

It could simply be a port of Eurocom’s GoldenEye Wii remake from last year. Of course this could be one-in-the-same as the Reloaded game detailed above.

Or, it could be something else entirely. Activision has confirmed that a new James Bond game is due before the end of the year, and clues point to Raven Software being behind it. The Singularity developer is reported to be hard at work on an action adventure game based on an “international movie license”, and footage of a James Bond stealth game was leaked in an animator’s demo-reel.

Activision is also showing off a trio of superhero games at the convention: X-Men Destiny, Spider-man: Edge of Time and Prototype 2.

Chances are it’ll be a GoldenEye port to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, re-branded as GoldenEye: Reloaded. We’ll find out on July 21.
