505 Games has announced that Guilty Gear XX Accent Core, the third instalment in the series, will be released across Europe for Wii in February 2008.

The game will feature over 20 combatants and an alternate EX version of all the existing characters. The characters A.B.A. and Order-Sol, previously never seen outside of Japan, will also be introduced.

Guilty Gear XX Accent Core will also offer gamers a range of all-new moves, including the Force Break, a special move which consumes 25 per cent of the Tension Gauge; Slashback, a parry with reduced block stun; Slip Throws; and moves which make opponents stick momentarily to walls or slide across the floor of a stage.

All voices, including that of the announcer, have been re-recorded or replaced with previously unused samples, and in some cases different actors have been used. The game also sports redesigned character artwork and two new music tracks: Launch Out and Keep the Flag Flying.

Being a Wii game you can expect some form of motion control. Players will move characters with the analogue stick on the Nunchuck and use the Wii Remote to perform simple and special attacks. Less powerful attacks are mapped to buttons, while special attacks are executed through button presses and movement of the Nunchuck and Wii Remote.

Guilty Gear XX Accent Core is scheduled for release on Wii in February 2008.
