Mark Rein has posted over on the official Gears of War forum that the game’s next update is almost ready and currently going through the certification process. The update will feature an all-new multiplayer game type called Annex, more details on which Rein has promised for later this week.
Xbox 360 gamers using a VGA cable will also gain the option for 720p when running at 1280×1024 resolution.
There was also confirmation from Rein that the update will be offered for free, which is nice.
