A new game in the Fire Emblem series is in development for Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo has announced.
The game, which has yet to be named, is being developed by the same team behind 2013’s critically-acclaimed Fire Emblem: Awakening and, according to Nintendo, will ask players to “make decisions that will affect the game’s world in new ways”.
The company adds that the new adventure “adds challenges never before seen in the series”.
The game will also be compatible with Nintendo 2DS, suggesting it will not require a New Nintendo 3DS or New Nintendo 3DS to operate.
The first footage of the new game was teased during this afternoon’s Nintendo Direct, revealing a mix of CGI sequences and in-game visuals. Missed it? Check out the trailer above.
