Bethesda has dropped a new teaser trailer for Dishonored: Death of the Outsider. The standalone addition to the Dishonored series sees Billie Lurk and her former master assassin Daud, also known as the Knife of Dunwall, attempt the impossible: kill a god.

In the trailer Daud recruits Billie for the task of killing the Outsider, the supernatural being who gives the assassins of the Dishonored series their powers in the first place, and who has been repeatedly described by Hazel Monforton, a writer on Death of the Outsider, as an ‘eldritch twink Jesus’ (a phrase which this reporter fully endorses).

Set to the thumping tones of Marilyn Manson’s Killing Strangers, we see Billie using some new powers, including an ability to copy an NPCs face and use it as a disguise. It also looks as if you’ll take the fight to the Outsider’s home turf. The trailer description says that Death of the Outsider includes ‘a slew’ of not just new abilities, but weapons and gadgets too.

‘Investigate mysterious cults, infiltrate underground fight clubs, and even pull off a bank heist as you search for a way to do the impossible: kill a god.’ Well, quite.

Death of the Outsider comes to PS4, PC and Xbox One on September 15.
