CSI: 3 Dimensions of Murder is being developed by Telltale Games and will continue the authentic CSI experience that previous CSI games from Ubisoft have offered. Working alongside Gil and the rest of his Las Vegas crime lab you must help solve cases and investigate using cutting edge technology and real-world forensic equipment. Unlike previous CSI games, CSI: 3 Dimensions of Murder, as the name suggests, will feature an all new real-time 3D game engine, together with enriched character animations and longer stories.

CSI: 3 Dimensions of Murder will build upon the success of the previous CSI games with fresh new episodes that fans of the show will truly enjoy,” said Jay Cohen, vice president of publishing at Ubisoft. “We take the crime-solving team back to Vegas in a gorgeously rendered 3D environment complete with all the forensic science, tools and technology that players love to use; they will feel like they are part of the Las Vegas team!

To date, since the first game was released back in March 2003, CSI franchise games published by Ubisoft have sold more than 1.5 million units worldwide. CSI: 3 Dimensions of Murder is scheduled for a worldwide release in spring 2006 for the PC platform. While there’s no word on the engine being used for the game, the Doom 3 engine would have been my choice; considering how the CSI team always work in the dark, the engine would be perfect.
