Four new characters were added to the Marvel vs Capcom 3 roster over the weekend at New York Comic Con 2010.

New to the Capcom team are Ghost ‘n Goblins hero Sir Arthur and Bionic Commando swinger Nathan Spencer. The pair join Capcom comrades Wesker, Tron Bonne, Viewtiful Joe, Amaterasu, Dante, Ryu, Morrigan, Chris Redfield, Felicia, Trish and Chun-Li.

Levelling the playing field for the Marvel team are X-Men bad guy Magneto and the big headed megalomaniac M.O.D.O.K.. Other confirmed Marvel characters include Spider-Man, X-23, Dormmamu, Thor, Deadpool, Hulk, Wolverine, Iron Man, Captain America, Doctor Doom and Super-Skrull.

Marvel vs Capcom 3 is scheduled for a spring release on PS3 and Xbox 360.

The new character additions will largely appeal to the more hardcore fans; the likes of Sir Arthur, Nathan Spencer and M.O.D.O.K. unlikely to be known by casual players. Magneto, however, has a much broader appeal, known to casual fans through his appearances in the X-Men movies and the upcoming X-Men: First Class, set for summer 2011.
