Netflix has another Stranger Things game in the works, having already announced Stranger Things 3: The Game late last year.

This new game will be a Pokemon Go-style game, which uses location-based mechanics and is, at the moment, known as Stranger Things Mobile Game. It is due to come out on Android and iOS platforms.

According to a statement, the game will utilise Google Maps to allow players to 'explore The Upside Down hidden around them in their daily travels and work with fellow fans to fight back its emerging evils."

It's being developed in conjunction with Finnish developer Next Games, and it has been described as a location-based puzzle RPG game. The game also has an intriguing art style, which looks very Don Bluth and has been described as an ''80s Saturday morning cartoon.'

Teemu Huuhtanen, CEO of Next Games, said, in a statement, 'We are huge fans of Stranger Things and thrilled to work together with Netflix to bring our shared vision of Stranger Things into life in a mobile game format.'

The game will be released in 2020, with no specific date yet announced.

This is a separate game to Stranger Things 3: The Game, which is scheduled to release the same day as the third season of the show, on July 4, 2019.
