The upcoming patch for NCSoft MMO Aion will go live August 3, according to the publisher.

Patch 2.6 will first hit test servers on July 28, and is set to go live a few days later.

It will include the new instance Crucible Challenge, a solo-version of the Empyrean Crucible instance. Additionally, some existing instances will be adjusted, including Dark Poeta, Empyrean Crucible, and Beshmundir Temple.

A new pet, The Runaway Poppy, will allow its owners to gain extra Platinum Medals.

Also introduced will be a new auto party-matching system, and new conditioning stones to let players enhance their equipment even further.

The successful Eastern MMO was originally released in Korea in 2008 but was launched in the West by 2009.
