Namco has announced Dead to Rights: Reckoning for the Sony PSP. Jack Slate and his K-9 friend return to Grant City to save an informant who has been kidnapped on the eve of a an investigation into a major crime lord. Dead to Rights: Reckoning will take full advantage of the PSP’s power, delivering an experience similar to that of the home console versions of the game.

‘Dead to Rights: Reckoning’ accurately translates the adrenaline-soaked combat of best-selling action series, and adds several new features that take advantage of the PSP hardware,” said Pierre Roux, Executive Producer at Namco Hometek. “The game’s unique ranged and melee fighting engine and stylish disarms are sure to make it one of the most action-packed games on the PSP when it is released this May.”

For the first time in the series players will be able to go head-to-head in wireless multiplayer deathmatches, extending the game’s lifespan beyond that of the single-player campaign. While the game is expected to be released in the US this May, we can’t expect it to arrive on European store shelves until the PSP has been released.
