The planned merger of Namco and Bandai has finally got the approval it needed. The merger had already been approved by Bandai investors and now has gained approval from the Namco shareholders. The merger is expected to go ahead later this year with the details of how the merger will affect the operation of each company also to be announced around September. Namco Bosses are assuring staff and shareholders that the merger will not be a catalyst for staff layoffs, as the business sectors of the companies do not overlap.
