The PlayStation 4 version of motocross racer MXGP will release on October 17, PQube has announced.

The next-gen version comes equipped with 1080p graphics running at a “locked 30fps”, the publisher tells VideoGamer.com, plus a new environmental lighting system and 4 brand new circuits exclusive to PS4, leading to a total of 18 tracks.

Developer Milestone has also been able to use the additional power of PS4 to almost double the amount of riders on-track and increase the texture resolution of its motorcycle models by 4x those found on PS3.

The DualShock 4’s lightbar will change colour as the bike’s engine RPM increases, too, if that floats your boat.

MXGP first launched on Xbox 360, PS3, PS Vita and PC in March this year. The game has not been announced for release on Xbox One.
