We’ve seen many a franchise thrust together in battle as part of Capcom’s ‘Vs’ series. Marvel vs Capcom, Capcom vs SNK, Tatsunoko vs Capcom.

The one common denominator, besides featuring Capcom characters, is the two-way versus, pitching once franchise against another.

Speaking to VideoGamer.com last week, Marvel vs Capcom 3 producer Ryota Niitsuma revealed that he’d love to expand the vs series to include three and even four-way battles.

“This is not something that’s been done – and it would be very difficult – but without restraints, I’d like to mix more than two parties into one game,” said Niitsuma. “So rather than one vs one, it would be a three party game, or perhaps four. I think that would be pretty interesting.”
