Natal won’t be found wanting, Microsoft has promised.

It’s charged some of its best people with coming up with game ideas for the exciting motion sensing technology, and promised “some great stuff”.

That’s according to the wonderfully-named Mindy Mount, Corporate Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Entertainment and Devices Division, who was speaking yesterday at the Jefferies Annual Global Technology Conference in New York City, as reported by IGN.

“We have very strong first and third-party developer support for [Natal], she said. “Needless to say, we’re putting some of our best people on coming up with great game ideas for this, and we’re going to have some great stuff.”

70 per cent of total game publishers worldwide are said to be working on Natal-enabled titles.

“It’s part of the reason that we announced [Natal] as early as last summer so that we’d have time to get kits out and get the entire game developer community developing games for it,” added Mount.

According to Mount, Microsoft will unveil the full line-up of Natal games at this year’s E3 show.

“As a history, Microsoft works very strong with third-party developers, so we’re hoping that we’re going to get some great titles from that. You’ll be able to see more news about that this summer at E3. We’ll show you the full lineup.”

Only snippets of Natal-enabled games have been revealed by Microsoft so far, although the Lionhead-developed Fable III has been confirmed as utilising Natal in some way.

Check the site later today for a special Natal feature, where we ask developers what they think of Microsoft’s motion-sensing technology.
