Felice Standifer, Sr. US Producer for MotorStorm has posted on Sony’s new PlayStation.Blog, revealing that the planned Time Attack Mode for MotorStorm won’t be released today.

I understand everyone is rarin’ to go with the MotorStorm updates and believe me, we are too. But right before we were planning to go live with the 1.2 updates with Time Attack mode, a new issue was found on the patch that could result in people not being able to establish a network connection,” writes Standifer.

It’s good news that the bug was spotted before the update was released, but it’s bad news for MotorStorm players expecting the Time Attack Mode today.

Standifer continues: “So, unfortunately, for now we need to continue to run tests and monitor the fix to ensure that it does not occur when the patch goes live. I play Motorstorm religiously and *love* the new Time Attack mode, and I think you will too. Of course, it’s in the best interest for everyone that we resolve this before we release the update.

Standifer hasn’t said when we can now expect the new content, although he does state that it will be released as soon as possible.
