EA Casual Entertainment president Kathy Vrabeck has confirmed to investors that next-gen versions of the publisher’s The Sims franchise are to begin production within three years.

In the more immediate future EA will release MySims Kingdom for Nintendo DS and Wii before the year end along with a PC version of MySims. During the publisher’s fourth quarter (January 2009-March 2009) the Wii and DS will also see the release of MySims Party.

It’s no surprise to see EA pumping out new titles in the MySims line-up, the first title has shipped over 3 million units worldwide and generated over $100 million in revenue.

Also on the way is Sim Animals, scheduled to launch before the end of March 2009. Slightly further away is a new title in the SimCity line-up, SimCity Creator, which should see the light of day during EA’s fiscal 2011.
