During its Xbox 360 Briefing 2007, Microsoft has announced continued support for the Xbox 360 from Japanese video game developers. This support doesn’t stop with retail releases, with the likes of Taito, Treasure and Hudson pledging support for the console’s LIVE Arcade service.

Confirmed for release over the coming months are EXIT, Ikaruga, Omega Five and Triggerheart Exelica.

EXIT from Taito has already been well received on PSP and this LIVE Arcade version once again sees players using decision-making skills to escape numerous obstacles while rescuing people from over 100 emergencies. The game will be available by the end of the year.

Next up and promised to arrive on the service soon is Treasure’s seminal shmup Ikaruga. The fast-paced shooter will feature slow-motion training and also co-op for up to two players.

The shmups keep on coming with Hudson Entertainment’s Omega Five and Warashi’s Tirggerheart Exelica. In Omega Five players fly through dangerous side-scrolling 3D environments and must avoid and shoot the enemies which attack from all angles. Triggerheart Exelica will see players battling against hordes of enemy ships with the difficulty level dynamically adjusting to match a player’s skill level.

We’ll bring you news on each game’s release date as soon as we have more information.
