Mere days after the removal of the NICKMERCS bundle from Modern Warfare 2, Activision has now taken out the TimTheTatMan cosmetic from the store as well following the popular streamer’s personal request to have it withdrawn. According to the publisher’s statement, their decision will come to pass immediately, meaning that as soon as you log in to the game, you will no longer be able to purchase the content creator’s skin.

For those unfamiliar, the drama surrounding both streamers began due to NICKMERCS’ alleged anti-LGBTQ+ comments on a recent Twitter post. The ensuing backlash that his previous message caused forced Activision to exclude his bundle from the store, after which they went on to state that they were “focused on celebrating PRIDE with our employees and our community.”

A day after the bundle’s removal, NICKMERCS would go on to explain his side of the story through a livestream on Twitch. However, his unwavering stance and decision to back up his original message meant that the cosmetic would remain excluded for the foreseeable future.

Because of this, TimTheTatMan eventually decided to stand in solidarity with his long-time friend by requesting that his own bundle be withdrawn from the game through another post. In it, the content creator said that “NICKMERCS has been my friend for years – we went in getting our CoD operators together.” “It feels wrong for me to have mine and him no longer have his. In support of my friend, please remove the timthetatman bundle,” he continued.

Based on the criticism that both sides have received so far, it seems unlikely that these skins are going to be reinstated any time soon. It’s worth noting, though, that the players who purchased either of the two bundles before they were taken out of Modern Warfare 2 will still be able to use them so you may still see both content creators’ likenesses in your matches from time to time.
