Twilight Princess making use of the Revolution’s ‘wand’ controller has been a rumour for months, but finally the main man has said something concrete on the matter.

I would say that we are progressing well with completing it,” commented Miyamoto. “And one of the most important features is that, because Revolution can run GameCube software, when you play Twilight Princess on Revolution you can take advantage of the Revolution controller.”

This backs up claims made a number of months ago in the British magazine NGC, which Nintendo flatly denied. NGC stuck by its story, which now seems to be 100 per cent true. Ever since the much anticipated GameCube title was delayed until late 2006, there has been speculation over which platform the game would launch on. It does, for now anyway, seem that the GameCube’s swansong will see extra features when played on the Revolution, but will remain a GameCube title.
