Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is to receive a closed beta test on PS4, Xbox One and PC, it’s been revealed. If you want to give it a go, you can register your interest on the game’s official website.

Details on the beta have yet to be revealed, but expect to hear more at around 5pm GMT this evening.

The full game, meanwhile, is due to launch on PS4, Xbox One and PC on May 26.

UPDATE: EA has formally announced that a closed beta for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst “is coming”, but has not confirmed when it will be available.

“Some of you will be able to step into the shoes of Faith before our run towards the May 24 release is complete,” EA said on the Mirror’s Edge website. We’re happy to announce that a Closed Beta for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is coming, and you can now sign up for a chance to be part of it.

“The Mirror’s Edge Catalyst Closed Beta will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and on Origin for PC. Stay tuned for more info on the Closed Beta, when it’s coming, and other details.”

As well as announcing the beta, EA also released a new trailer teasing more details on the game’s story.
