Minecraft will be released for iOS platforms tomorrow, reports MCV. This means the mobile game will actually appear ahead of the final release of the PC game, which is officially released on Friday.

Minecraft: Pocket Edition has been available for several months on Android, and offers 36 block types to experiment with in random worlds. You also get local wireless multiplayer, making it possible to have friends over for a visit.

You’ll be asked to part with £5 for the privilege of playing on your iOS device and it should be on the App Store tomorrow morning.

Minecraft isn’t the only app launching this week. VideoGamer.com launched its own app, making it easier to see all our beautiful content when out and about.
