UPDATE – 11/12: Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 4 ‘A Block and a Hard Place’ will release on PC/Mac, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, iOS and Android on December 22 and conclude the story of the Wither Storm, Telltale has confirmed.
Episode 5 will launch in early 2016.
“In Episode Four, with the fearsome Wither Storm more dangerous than ever, Jesse, Reuben, and the crew discover there is one thing that can destroy the command block at the heart of the monster – but they’ll need to brave the perils of the Farlands to find it,” Telltale says.
“As uneasy allies and ailing friends threaten to tear the group apart, can they defeat the Wither Storm in their final battle? And what sacrifices must be made to succeed? Find out in Episode Four’s epic ‘Wither Storm Finale’ that will turn the page on one chapter, before adventures may begin anew…”
ORIGINAL STORY: Minecraft: Story Mode’s fourth episode ‘A Block and a Hard Place’ will release during December, Telltale Games has confirmed.
Teasing the release on Twitter, Telltale revealed that Episode 4 will “bring one story to a close” prior to the arrival of the fifth and final episode in 2016. More details will be announced “soon”.
Minecraft: Story Mode launched on PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC and mobile back in October, with additional episodes rolling out within 2-4 week intervals. The latest episode ‘The Last Place You Look’ launched on November 24.
A Wii U and PS Vita release is due to follow in 2016.
