Minecraft: PS4 Edition will release on disc on October 3, Sony has announced.
The disc version follows a release on PlayStation Store earlier this month, with a day 1 patch available at launch to bring the disc release up to speed.
The PS4 Edition of Minecraft features worlds 36x bigger than those available on PS3, with support for players to transfer their PS3 saves over to the PS4 Edition.
Microsoft announced a deal to acquire Minecraft and developer Mojang earlier this week for a whopping $2.5bn.
