For Honor’s closed alpha saw hundreds of thousands of players taking part, each spending an average of 4 hours and 38 minutes in the game, Ubisoft has said.

The closed alpha was Ubisoft’s largest for any title to date. Here’s some more stats taken from the alpha:

  • Average playtime consistently increased on a daily basis, and more than a third of all active players played during three or more of the closed alpha’s four days.
  • During the closed alpha, For Honor was at one point the second-most watched title on Twitch.tv, temporarily besting stalwarts such as World of Warcraft, Counter-Strike and Dota 2. It was in the top 10 during most of the closed alpha’s four days, with number of streaming channels growing each day.
  • There were approximately 5,577,000 executions and 89,603,900 warriors defeated during the closed alpha. That’s an average of 16 executions and 259 warriors defeated every second.
  • Demand to participate in the upcoming Beta is approximately 40% higher than any previous Ubisoft game (in the comparable pre-launch period).

“It’s pretty amazing that a game that is still in closed alpha is attracting this kind of attention,” said Stephane Cardin, Producer. “We hope it means that word is getting out and that players are seeing how competitive, intense and fun For Honor can be.”

You can register to take part in the beta now.
