Former professional boxer Mike Tyson will appear as a playable fighter in UFC 2, EA Sports has announced.
There are three ways to unlock him: either by progressing to the Career Mode’s Hall of Fame, purchasing the UFC 2 Deluxe Edition, or pre-ordering the game to gain instant day-one access.
Two ‘versions’ of Tyson will be included, including an 80s-version “Iron” Mike Tyson, and “Legacy” Mike Tyson based on his appearance at the end of his boxing career. Only Iron Mike will be available as a pre-order bonus, although both will be available to unlock via in-game progression or with the Deluxe Edition.
“As a huge fan, I’m honoured to be part of EA SPORTS and explore the world of mixed martial arts,” said Tyson. “I follow UFC very closely and it’s going to be very cool to see how I would stack up against these amazing MMA athletes.”
Two other fighters – Bas Rutten and Kazushi Sakuraba – will also be available as day one bonuses to pre-order customers.
UFC 2 launches on PS4 and Xbox One on March 17.
