Ubisoft’s second game in the Might & Magic franchise is to be developed using the Source Engine, which was behind the lovely looking Half-Life 2, so expect a pretty game. Dark Messiah is being developed by Arkane Studios, who were responsible for the acclaimed Arx Fatalis, so the pedigree is there for a top title.

The game will put players into a first person perspective, fully immersing the gamer into the Might & Magic universe, and is the world’s first fantasy action game to feature a complete first person combat system. Dark Messiah of Might & Magic is scheduled for a summer 2006 release and will debut at the Games Convention in Germany on August 17th.
