It seemed like it was never going to be moved, but after what seems like an eternity, FIFA Street has been knocked off the top of the chart. Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition now sits proudly at the top, while this week’s highest new entry goes to Lego Star Wars, which enters the chart at a more than respectable second position.
Elsewhere in the char the two big Xbox releases of the week have had mixed fortunes. Microsoft and Bioware’s Jade Empire was the biggest selling Xbox game of the week and entered the all formats chart at No.7. Midway’s Unreal Championship 2, despite being one of the best multiplayer shooters on the console, only managed to be the sixth highest selling Xbox game of the week and stumbled into the all formats chart at No. 25.
This week, for once, doesn’t see a big game hit our shelves, but GameCube owners may well lap up Star Fox: Assault, and PC gamers who fancy a bit of MMORPG action, but don’t like the look of subscription fees, may well be interested in Guild Wars from NCsoft.
