Microsoft will stage an Xbox One press conference at gamescom in August, reports CVG.
It’s understood that certain developers have already been notified of Microsoft’s plans, with a public announcement expected shortly.
No final date or event schedule has been set, claims CVG.
A Microsoft spokesperson told CVG: “We’re excited to be back at Gamescom this year but we’re not announcing any further details on our plans at this time. Please stay tuned for more details!”
With Microsoft keen to expand the popularity of Xbox in Europe – beyond the UK – the platform holder may use gamescom to announce European content agreements for the system.
