A teaser image for a new Gears of War game has been unveiled, teasing the full reveal of the currently untitled game during Microsoft’s E3 conference next Monday.
The new Gears of War title is listed as an Xbox 360 title. No developer or release date was given.
Released as the cover for this month’s Game Informer magazine, the picture shows a shadowed man in chains followed by two COG soldiers as locust ravage the city in the background. Is the man Marcus Fenix, being sentenced to prison after abandoning his post at the Battle of Epyhra – would that make this new Gears of War game a prequel to the last three games?
Or might it be Gears of War: Exile, the rumoured (and reportedly cancelled) Kinect spin-off? And what about the rumour that Bulletstorm developer People Can Fly is making a Gears of War game?
