Microsoft’s Gamescom press conference will take place at 1:00pm BST on Tuesday, August 12, with the briefing also set to be streamed online.

The timing means that Microsoft will likely be the first out the door with its press conference, with Sony set to follow at 6pm BST and EA the morning after.

This year’s briefing marks the first time in recent memory that Microsoft has chosen to broadcast its Gamescom conference publicly, having hosted a private press briefing last year. You’ll be able to watch it on your Xbox, Xbox.com or Windows Phone.

But what could the platform holder have in store? The first gameplay footage of Quantum Break seems a given, as does more info on Sunset Overdrive and Forza Horizon 2, but it also promises to have some “big surprises you will not want to miss” for this year’s show.
