Microsoft is considering integrating an option into Xbox One that allows Xbox LIVE users to gift digital games to friends.
Discussing the possibility of game gifting on Reddit, Microsoft’s Major Nelson said that it was a “great feature we’d like to add in someday, but it won’t be there at launch”.
A similar service is already available on Steam, allowing registered members to gift digital titles to other users. The Wii also allows users to gift items from the Wii Shop.
Microsoft said last week that it had “really exciting things” planned for Xbox One following its launch next month, and has suggested previously that its Family Sharing Plan could return in the future.
Xbox One launches in the UK on November 22.
