Deep Silver has announced that bleak and brutal shooter Metro Exodus will launch on February 22, 2019.
This puts the game out alongside other heavy weights including Days Gone and Crackdown 3, so you better start saving those pennies now as early 2019 is looking pretty damn busy already.
Metro Exodus kicks off in the year 2036 following a devastating nuclear war, with a band of survivors barely clinging onto life in the Metro tunnels underneath the ruins of Moscow. The story follows hero Artyom as he leads a band of Spartan Rangers across the post-apocalyptic landscape in search of a new life in the East.
Developer 4A Games has cobbled together massive, non-linear levels packed with dynamic weather systems, while players will have to scavenge for supplies and craft weapons in the field to slug it out with both human and marauding mutant foes.
What's more, you'll be faced with difficult choices throughout the story, meaning your companions' lives will be in your hands; mess up and not everyone will survive. So, no pressure then.
Metro Exodus is due out on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One. Check out the E3 2018 trailer below.
