Devolver Digital has announced that it is bringing a HD remaster of classic 2004 From Software game Metal Wolf Chaos XD to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC this August.

The game, which was originally an Xbox exclusive Japan-only release, sees you take control of the 47th President of the United States, who happens to also have access to a huge armoured mech, and must use it to stop a rebellious uprising led by your former Vice President Richard Hawk and his mechanised robotic army across a range of levels taking in landmarks like The Grand Canyon, the Brooklyn Bridge and The White House.

Yes, that is geniunely the plot and yes, this is from From Software, creators of Dark Souls, Bloodborne and most recently the flippin' good Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. The modernisation is mainly being handled by developer General Arcade in conjuction with the other two studios, and will feature 'upgraded visual fidelity, refined controls and gameplay, a new save system' and 4K and 16:9 support for modern displays.

There's also a trailer, which you can see below. Metal Wolf Chaos XD will launch for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on August 6.
