Originally pencilled-in for a 2017 launch, Konami has confirmed that multiplayer-focused MGS title Metal Gear Survive is now coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One in 2018.

The publisher confirmed that the game has been ‘pushed back a few months’ to Polygon, ensuring that the developer has time to polish the game prior to release.

Originally announced last year, Metal Gear Survive is the first Metal Gear game since series creator Hideo Kojima and Konami parted ways. Like most franchises before it, this is Metal Gear’s first foray into the world of zombie spinoffs, and will allow co-op play for up to four players.
