Konami has announced that Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will release in the UK for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on February 3, 2012. The package contains five classic Metal Gear titles.
Included in the collection are HD versions of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. Gamers will also get Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake.
The HD remake of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will allow four players to team up over Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network. The PSP original required players to access online co-op via a PS3.
It’s good to finally have a date for the HD collection, but it’ll be going up against Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XIII-2. While the Final Fantasy series has taken a slight beating in recent years due to the negative reaction to XIII and XIV, XIII-2 is attempting to right quite a few wrongs.
