Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain has received a new trailer at E3, and it delivers more questions than answers.
The near-six-minutes of footage includes lots of cutscene action involving the lead characters, as well as some cryptic moments within the game that appear slightly fantastical, including what appear to be ghostly soldiers.
The trailer ends with a bloodied Snake staring himself in the mirror, before breaking it. The camera then cuts to what looks like what could very well be twin infant Liquid Snakes clones, as Snake says “Les enfants terribles”, the name of the secret US government project used to create clones of Big Boss in Metal gear lore.
