The epic film is not the premiere of the much rumoured fully fledged motion picture, but a film made entirely of footage from the game. The film will, however, include elements not found in the game, with new cutscenes, narration and re-mastered sound. The event takes place on December 22 (which just so happens to be the day Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence is released in Japan) at the Oribe Hall in Tokyo, and series creator Hideo Kojima will be at the premiere to offer some opening remarks.

For normal everyday folk your only chance to attend the premiere is through a competition on Konami’s website. Register your interest in seeing the film and eighty lucky people will be randomly chosen to attend the premiere. If you don’t get chosen or simply don’t fancy making the trek over to Japan then fear not; the first batch of Japanese copies of Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence will include a bonus DVD containing the film.
