Capcom has announced the first batch of Mega Man 9 downloadable content.

The DLC includes a new Endless Attack mode, which challenges fans to break the record for getting the farthest on a stage that never ends. And, as expected, Proto Man Mode allows you to play as Proto Man, who has the Charge Shot ability, Power Slide ability and a shield that deflects bullets. On the down side, Proto Man takes double damage and has double bounce back when hit. And he’s not compatible with Rankings or Challenges. Or has a story.

US release dates have been revealed. The DLC is out now on WiiWare. It’ll be out on XBLA tomorrow (October 7) and on PSN on Thursday (October 9). We expect it’ll be out in the UK on WiiWare along with the regualr update this Friday.
