If you’re super hyped for Horizon Zero Dawn prepare for an extra top up on those hype levels. New videos giving you a closer look at some of the giant machines that Aloy will face off against have gone up on YouTube.

The Thunderjaw

The Thunderjaw, also known as the Screw All That Noise, looks kind of like a mechanical T-Rex, but if a T-Rex had finally realised the evolutionary irrelevance of its tiny arms and instead equipped itself with disc launchers, cannons, and a laser that it can shoot from it’s mouth. The video says that it’s a challenge level 27, which from context looks like it can be read as ‘lol’.

The Snapmaw

The Snapmaw looks like a massive solar paneled alligator, and, despite being a machine made for acquisition rather than combat, can lunge several meters to bite at Aloy, and can spit ice. So that’s fun. It’s found in watery areas where it gathers useful minerals from sediment.

The end slate on both these videos shows pictures that will presumably link to future videos, one for the Stormbird and another for the Behemoth.

Horizon Zero Dawn is out in North America on 28 February and everywhere else on March 1, on PS4.
