Who could have predicted it? Master Chief will return to the Halo franchise at some point in the future.
That’s according to 343 Industries’ big cheese Frank O’Connor, who was speaking at Comic-Con over the weekend.
Halo 3 finished with Master Chief in cryosleep as his ship approached a mysterious planet, but since then his story has taken a back seat while the Halo universe expanded in other directions.
“We’d have to be the world’s biggest a**holes not to follow through,” O’Connor said. “We certainly haven’t seen the last of Master Chief.”
No one really expected Halo 3 to be the end of Master Chief, but it’s good to have his return on record.
Halo: Reach will be out September 14.
