BioWare is considering releasing remastered versions of Mass Effect 1, 2 and 3 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, general Manager Aaryn Flynn has revealed.
Responding to a question on Twitter asking about the possibility of a next-gen re-release, Flynn revealed that the studio had “discussed that internally”.
“If we can put solid plans together we’ll share,” he said. “Great to hear you’re keen.”
As well as putting the finishing touches to this autumn’s Dragon Age: Inquisition, BioWare is currently developing an untitled Mass Effect title targeted at next-gen platforms.
The last title, Mass Effect 3, launched on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC back in March 2012, closing the story of Commander Shepard. The new game is believed to focus on a new set of characters within the same universe.
