The Mass Effect movie is still definitely on the cards, and a panel discussing the project is being held at this year’s Comic-Con convention.
Mass Effect executive producer Casey Hudson and screenwriter Mark Protosevich will be hosting a question and answer panel at the San Diego convention.
Protosevich is credited in the press release as the “screenwriter adapting the game to film”. Is BioWare focusing on bringing the first game to the silver screen? Protosevich has previously worked on Thor, I Am Legend, and The Cell. He is also working on the screenplay for Jurassic Park IV.
The panel will take place on July 22, but the exact time was not given.
The Mass Effect movie has been rumoured since 2008, with Legendary Pictures announcing it had the rights to the film in May 2010.
An animated Mass Effect movie is also currently in the works, scheduled for release in 2012.
Mass Effect 3 will be released for 360, PS3, and PC on March 9 2012.
