Earlier today we reported that the highly anticipated Xbox 360 RPG Mass Effect had suffered a delay and is now lined-up for a September release.
This has now been confirmed to Pro-G by a source close to the game, with a desire for a high quality final product being given as the primary reason for the slight slippage.
“The game has to be really polished and up to BioWare’s high standards, and that is going to happen,” stated the source.
Despite the slip to what was seen as a massively important summer release for Microsoft, a string of strong titles are on course for the summer months – notably Forza Motorsport 2 (now scheduled for June 8 in the UK), Shadowrun and Halo 2 Vista.
