The upcoming Wii U release of Mass Effect 3 will contain the Extended Cut content on the disc.
The recently released Extended Cut DLC modifies the game’s ending. On the Wii U, Extended Cut will overwrite the original ending. That’s not necessarily a bad thing.
“The extended ending is basically going to be part of the game instead,” said Mass Effect producer Michael Gamble to Siliconera.
“You won’t have to download it,” he added.
Mass Effect 3 on Wii U currently has no release date, though is currently scheduled for Q4 2012.
“Mass Effect 3’s ending is alright, and the new epilogue DLC makes it slightly more alright. But BioWare’s final stop doesn’t feel like a pure finale, but more like the pre-determined results of a computer that’s swallowed your choices over the trilogy and spat out a hideous twisted result from a minuscule list of options. It’s like a relationship quiz you find in the back of a magazine,” wrote VideoGamer.com about the Extended Cut DLC.
