“Got to see a beautiful and emotional scene with real voices in. It’s gonna break some hearts,” said BioWare writer Patrick Weekes on Twitter.
We already know Mass Effect 3’s definitive ending requires side quests, so perhaps players who don’t take time to explore the universe will have to sit through a few tear-jerking scenes.
Mass Effect 3 starts on Earth, with Shepard on trial following the events of the Arrival DLC for Mass Effect 2. The Reapers launch their assault on the little blue planet during the proceedings, and Shepard will flee to the Normandy and look to gather a pack of allies.
Whatever it is, I’m just hoping it doesn’t mean Garrus has to die.
Mass Effect 3 is due for a Q1 2012 release for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
