The Mass Effect movie is moving forward, with news coming from Variety that the video game to movie adaptation is being written by Morgan Davis Foehl.

Foehl isn’t a big name in the movie industry yet, but he has written “Whatever Gets You Through the Night” and “Crosshair,” an adaptation of the Top Cow comicbook. He was also assistant editor on FX show Rescue Me.

Variety reports that Foehl is a Mass Effect fan, and has written scripts that have similar plots to that of the Mass Effect series.

Back in the world of Mass Effect video games, single-player Omega DLC is due for release on November 27.
