Mass Effect 3’s DLC blowout is continuing, with a fresh announcement that US customers will get some extra fancy exclusive equipment if they pre-order a fancy hardback book.

Pre-ordering the upcoming Art of The Mass Effect Universe hardback from Barnes & Noble before February 20 (currently listed at $26.91) will entitle you to a single-use code for some multiplayer character boosters and the Collector Assault Rifle.

There has been no word from BioWare or EA about whether any of this DLC will make its way to Europe.

The Collector (nasty race of human-farming aliens) Assault Rifle was one of the items you’d get in Mass Effect 2 if you bought the Collector’s (bung on another few quid and throw in an art book) Edition of the game. Mass Effect 3’s Collector’s Edition features a robotic pet dog for the Normandy.

BioWare announced earlier this week that purchasing Mass Effect action figures would also get you exclusive DLC codes.

And don’t forget that you’ll need to pre-order Mass Effect 3 to get codes for the M55 Argus Assault Rifle and N7 Warfare Gear.

Mass Effect 3, and its relentless swathes of DLC content, will be released on March 9.
