EA has announced that it will be releasing the Mass Effect 3 demo on February 14.

No platforms were announced specifically, although it’s safe to assume the Xbox 360 will get the demo as the date was revealed as part of a trailer advertising the game’s optional Kinect features.

The publisher confirmed last year that the demo would contain both single and multiplayer components, and that owners of Battlefield 3 would get early access to the latter.

Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer offering is a four-player co-op mode that runs concurrently to the single-player campaign.

A previous demo of Mass Effect 3 was mistakenly released as part of an Xbox LIVE Dashboard update in November, which contained an entire draft script of the game – including full details of Mass Effect 3’s ending.

Mass Effect 3 will be released for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on March 9.
