Retailer listings for a new range of Mass Effect toys suggest they’ll come with codes for exclusive multiplayer DLC.
The toys are available either individually for $17.99 or in a pack of four for $67.99. The figures stand roughly 7 inches tall and include (male) Shepard, Thane, Grunt, Tali, Miranda, Mordin, Garrus and Legion.
The products, spotted on US retailer BigBadToyStore (via NeoGAF) come with an accompanying blurb: “Each figure includes an in-pack card giving you access to downloadable in-game bonus content. Each figure contains different in-game content, exclusive to North American released product. Collect all eight for the full experience!”
The BioWare store offers more information: “These products contain codes that can be redeemed for a downloadable content pack for Mass Effect 3 multi-player. They are slightly randomised during the registration and could include powerful new weapons and new characters.”
“The pack could also include character boosters, weapon modifications, and weapon upgrades to make your multiplayer squad stronger. (Only supported on Xbox 360 and PC.)”
Mass Effect 3 will be released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on March 9.
I’ll have the Garrus one, please.
